Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the websites, applications, and APIs operated by Skybridge Labs, LLC (the "Services"). It is incorporated into our Terms of Service. By using the Services, you agree not to do any of the following — and not to help, permit, or encourage anyone else to do them.
Prohibited conduct
Illegal or harmful activity
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or court order.
- Infringe any intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
- Engage in, promote, or facilitate fraud, money laundering, or financing of illegal activity.
- Use the Services to target, harass, threaten, or incite violence against any person or group.
Security, integrity, and abuse
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or network.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services without prior written permission, except for good-faith security research reported responsibly to [email protected].
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services, servers, or networks — for example, through denial-of-service attacks or resource exhaustion.
- Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with any security-related or rate-limiting feature.
- Upload, distribute, or transmit malware, ransomware, or other malicious code.
Automated use and API misuse
- Exceed published rate limits, whether by a single account or by coordinating multiple accounts.
- Share, resell, or transfer API credentials outside your own organization.
- Scrape or bulk-download data in a manner that circumvents published rate limits or pricing tiers.
- Operate the Services, the API, or any derived data in a product that is substantially similar to, and competitive with, a Skybridge Labs product.
- Create accounts or payment arrangements using false, misleading, or stolen information.
Election and political integrity
Project: Informed is a civic-transparency tool. You may not use the Services to:
- Generate or distribute content intended to deceive voters about elections, candidates, officials, or voting procedures.
- Create deepfakes, impersonations, or other content falsely attributed to elected officials or candidates.
- Coordinate voter suppression or harassment campaigns.
Lawful political speech, journalism, academic research, and advocacy are welcome and expected. This section prohibits active deception and intimidation, not ordinary political expression.
AI feature misuse
- Use AI features to generate content that violates any part of this AUP or the Terms of Service.
- Misrepresent AI-generated output as the official position of a legislator, the U.S. government, or Skybridge Labs.
- Attempt to extract, exfiltrate, or reverse-engineer prompts, model weights, or system instructions.
Privacy
- Collect, harvest, or store personal information about other users of the Services without their consent.
- Use the Services to build profiles of individuals for the purpose of harassment, doxing, or targeting.
Enforcement
We may investigate any suspected violation of this AUP. If we determine that you have violated it, we may, without prior notice and without refund: throttle or rate-limit your account, suspend access to some or all features, revoke API credentials, terminate your account, and, where appropriate, report the activity to law enforcement. We will generally try to give you a chance to cure a violation where doing so is practical and does not increase harm.
Reporting abuse
If you believe someone is violating this AUP, including abuse of the API or AI features, please report it to [email protected] with as much detail as you can share. Security-vulnerability reports are welcome at the same address; we will acknowledge good-faith reports and will not pursue legal action against researchers who follow responsible-disclosure norms.
Changes
We may update this AUP as the Services evolve. Updated versions will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date.
